I find that question rather hard to answer. There is so much food in the world, how can I choose only one to be my favorite? Should I pick western or eastern? Main course, deserts, or snacks? It is an almost impossible decision but for the sake of this paragraph, I will reluctantly choose a type of food. After a long and interesting debate with myself, I have decided that my favorite food is maggie mee. The reasons being: It is convenient, easy to make, and cheap. It comes with different flavors, and a little plastic fork. If desired, you can add different types of meat, vegetables, and flavorings to it. Yes, maggie mee is my “favorite food”

They compare themselves with others at any opportunity like it’s a race, or a competition.

 

As an experiment, I went to tumblr and typed ‘perfect’, these were some of the things people wrote:

“sorry I can’t be perfect enough”

“i want to be taller. taller and slimmer and leaner and perfect. thats all i want. why is it so hard?”

“i just want to be pretty, likable, social, interesting, and creative. I want to be perfect.’

“Do you want to know what most of us girls worry about? How were constantly being judged, how much we are liked by people, how much we weigh, how much more liked we would be if we was possibly prettier, richer, skinnier, smarter, or anything else along the lines of being classed as ‘perfect’ nowadays. Your not ugly, society is. Just saying.”

 

Stuff like that.

It’s really sad, I guess, to read all these posts. I wonder if anyone ever told them they were beautifully and wonderfully made, or whether they’ve known it all their lives yet negative thoughts still come in.

 

We should all fill our brains with positive thinking!

Last Thursday, I went to the Big Bad Wolf Aftermath sale. Having all the books priced at RM5 or less was a dream come true, however the crowds at the sale was a nightmare. I was jostled, pushed, and scratched by people. I could hardly get from one side of the room to the other. But I survived, bringing home 26 books and aching muscles.

 I think buying photography books for RM5, was really worth it. So I bought a book with bear portraits and another book with puppy portraits.

Last but not least, I bought an engagement journal for my eldest brother, David. He’s the one who helped me set up this website. *cheers and claps.

My darling daughter Dee Dee, when I found you 2 years ago, you were still a tiny pup. Even though you were barely 6 inches, you have brought tons of joy into my life. You jump to greet me when I come back from school, you guard me when I’m alone at home, and you have never bitten me (except when you thought your life was in danger. I apologize) Even now, when you don’t obey me, lost some of your cuteness, and show favoritism to your grand-daddy instead of me, you are still special to me and I love you :)
